We do not accept any submissions created, in whole or in part, with or assisted by generative AI. This includes the generation of prompts, titles, names, outlines, dialogue, plot elements, descriptive passages, art and images, etc. We require a personal statement certifying that generative AI was not used at any stage in the creation process of your manuscript be included with any submission and our publishing contracts include similar language. This does not include the use of simple spellcheck applications. 

Attempts to circumvent this policy will result in, at a minimum, being barred from our platforms and publications and the revocation of any publishing deal as applicable, including the removal of any prior works regardless of AI use therein. Particularly egregious and blatantly fraudulent offenses may require addressing in the form of a statement to our readers detailing why the work was removed and apologizing for its inclusion in the first place. When a contract is involved, knowingly deceptive statements constitute contract fraud. Shadow Dog Literary Inc. will consider legal options to make itself whole.
